Welcome to the Walkthrough Guide for No Rest For the Wicked! After the events of the Prologue, the ship is wrecked ashore. You'll have full control of your character again. To formally start this first Main Quest, head to the west and speak to Captain Talvic lying on the ground.

sacrament1 main quests main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

Make sure to break any breakable objects here at the beach for any loot. You'll notice that your Cerim Armor has been reduced to rags so you'll need new Equipment if you want to survive the way to Sacrament. If you keep heading north you'll reach a sort of swampy area with a canal. You can loot the place but you won't be able to progress from there for now. Go back and then cross the bridge to the left of the dead captain. You'll eventually come across your first Fire Pit, which are spots where you can cook some Crafting Ingredients into Consumables. Be sure to loot the chest beside it.

You can head west and south to loot the rest of the beach but this is pretty much the western edge of the map. There's an enemy you can sneak behind out here and kill him one on-hit if you're successful. If you manage to get a Fishing Rod from the loot so far, you can use it to fish here if you want. If you head up you'll spot a tower and a chest on the wooden planks. You can enter the ruined tower by circling around until you get to the opening.

Inside, you'll find your first Whisper. From here, you can climb the ladders up to the top. Climb up the lower left part of the tower through the outer rim and then cross the wooden plank to reach the item orb there. Head back down and head west. You can jump the gap here for a chest. There'll be an enemy guarding it though, so be ready. This fight can be particularly difficult early on due to the narrow space. When you're done, head all the way down and head east. Use the tree that's knocked down to get to a rock formation that you can climb for a chest.

Head back to the Fire Pit and head directly west this time to find a torch barely lighting up a path made by wooden planks. Follow it and cross the narrow plank to get to another chest. Jump down to the water and circle back around. This time as you're balancing through the narrow wooden plank, jump to the northeast into a crevice containing another chest.

Head back to the Fire Pit again. To the right, you'll see a hole in the wall. Approach it but continue up a wooden path to the east and loot what you can up there. Climb the vines to the top of the tower for a chest. You can sneak behind the enemy peering out here like you did a while ago. When you're ready, head back down to the Fire Pit and head through the hole in the wall to the right to enter Mariner's Keep.

You'll immediately run into another enemy. If you head southwest you'll find another one guarding a chest. Ignore the large staircase to the northeast first and head to the northwest to find a smaller one. Head up to find another enemy. Head through the opening to the northwest to find yet another one. Head down the ladder by the spiral staircase. You can kick down this next ladder for a shortcut near the Fire Pit at The Shallows. The room here will have another chest as well as a Journal you can read.

sacrament3 main quests main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

Head back up the ladder and proceed through the spiral staircase now. Head up another ladder at the end of the staircase to progress. Watch out for the enemy here that will shoot arrows at you on sight. Head northeast to find yourself crossing another plank. Once across, head down the ladder to a Whisper where you can replenish your health.

If you head west past the ladder you'll find some vines to climb down. An enemy will start tossing flaming projectiles at you here on sight so be careful. At the northern side of this room, you'll find an opening containing a chest you could loot. If you head south and drop down, you'll find yourself in the previous area with the large staircase. You'll face some enemies when you head east. After you dispatch them and loot the area, head up north and then proceed east past the two barricades to find a large pyre.

sacrament4 main quests main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

This area is quite large so feel free to slay all the enemies here and loot what you can find. To get to the higher on the north side of the area, head up the stairs back to the Whisper and then drop to the northeast. Be careful of another projectile thrower to the east though. At the tower, you can head out the opening to the north for a chest on a wooden ledge. If you head down you'll find a lever that opens the large gate below you but you'll find that it's been sabotaged.

Head back down and head to the door found south of the big pyre. You'll hear the sound of some of the Risen threatening and roughing someone up for something. Unfortunately, the door is locked. Head to the east and defeat the enemies there. Once you've dispatched them, head south at the gate to find the Mess Hall Key on the body of a dead soldier. Head back to the door now and unlock it. You'll have to defeat all three of these chumps to speak to the guy they were beating up. Don't worry if you die, you'll just get sent back to the Whisper and try again. However, do try to take one down with you as it'll make your next try a lot easier. Once you've dispatched them, you can read the Journal on the table and then speak to Filmore.

sacrament5 main quests main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

It seems he was the one who sabotaged the gate's lever in order to stop the Risen from getting to Sacrament. However, in doing so he trapped himself out of the city in the process as well. He'll offer his services to repair your gear whenever you need it. You can also buy some wares from him if you need them. He'll give you the Gate Lever Handle which you can now use on the lever to raise the gate and get to the city. You can use the furnace-looking object to his right as a Fire Pit if you need to craft any Consumables.

South of the table near Filmore, you can go up the stairs to loot some chests, guarded by another projectile-thrower. Feel free to climb the brick walls around the area if you want to loot any item orbs on a higher level. Right beside the Fire Pit, you can find a ladder to climb. At the top, jump to the southwest and then follow the path created by the narrow planks to get to a chest. Head back to the Whisper to replenish your health and use the Fire Pit as needed. When you're ready, head to the sabotaged lever you found which you can now use with the Gate Lever Handle to raise the gate and proceed onward.

Head past the gate into another enemy encounter. When you get to the edge of the path you'll see a wooden bridge that can only be lowered from the other side. Head up north instead and use the elevator to head to a lower level. If you head north, you'll find a chest on some rafters. If you go down the ladder, you'll be able to explore the watery areas, but be careful of the Nith enemies here who might be much quicker than you're used to. The two on the islet to the west will be guarding a chest. If you head further west you'll find another chest on a floating rock formation. Feel free to loot the area and use your Tools to gather materials.

When you're ready, head back up the ladder and back to the elevator. Head south this time to immediately find another chest. Drop down and then climb the ladder and then the vines up to the bridge you couldn't lower from this side. Head back to the elevator and this time ride it upward. Be ready to fight a few enemies when you land. Head up the inclined board and then jump across to the other side, making sure to time it so you don't get hit by the crossbow-wielder. Jump down to the ledge past him to find a Fire Pit, where Lara and Reed are resting.

sacrament6 main quests main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

They'll be understandably wary of you at first but will quickly figure out that you're not going to hurt them. They'll warn you of a monster that stands in the way of anyone wishing to reach Sacrament. Use the Fire Pit as necessary and then head up the path directly east of the Fire Pit. Climb the vines and proceed to cross the wooden bridge to the east. There'll be a Risen there you can lure back to stable ground to slay. Across the bridge, you'll find another Risen guarding a chest. Continue along the path up to fight a Nith. Keep heading west to fight another Nith guarding a chest near the cliff.

When you're down, head all the way back to the Fire Pit and proceed south. You'll find yourself on the other side of the bridge. You can now lower it to make a shortcut through for next time. You can also use it now to get to Filmore for anything you need to buy from him, or if you need to repair your gear. If you look a bit to the right of the bridge you'll find a ladder that's easy to miss. If you climb down this ladder, you can get to Iona's Cavern. You can explore and loot the area, as well as complete the Quest, The Potion Seller. Neither of these are required to reach Sacrament, but completing the quest will unlock Markos as a Merchant in Sacrament. He specializes in potions and other concoctions.

For an in-depth guide to finishing the Side Quest, The Potion Seller, visit our page here.

If you head east from the bridge, you'll officially find yourself in the Orban Glades and encounter a Whisper shortly. If you head north, you can find a wooden fence that you can break down. The enemies in this area are fairly difficult so be careful. A particularly strong enemy is waiting in the lower level if you follow the path to the right, guarding a chest and Fire Pit you can use. If you head up the path to the west and climb the ledges, you'll find an opening you can enter.

sacrament7 main quests main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

Head down the ladder here to another Fire Pit you can use if you need it. Dispatch the enemy here and open the chest up north. Head out the opening to the southwest and then keep west for now to reach a chest past some narrow planks. Head down the path right before the planks to reach another Whisper. There's a ladder you can kick down to the south that'll lead to another chest. Head west to fight a Nith. You'll find a lowered plank to the south that you can use to get to a lower level. Follow the path around the room and then jump to the north for a chest. and then turn immediately toward the north to fight another Nith protecting a ladder. You'll find another chest if you climb down. The opening to the northwest leads to another chest down at the beach, guarded by more enemies. There's another chest to the far west of the area floating near the shore. Finally, there's another chest on an islet to the north guarded by another particularly strong enemy.

sacrament8 main quests main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

If you head down you'll find a fence you can cross to another area. You'll be able to find three chests here on three different islets. Once you've looted as much as you want, head to the eastern edge of this area. climb the ladder back up, and head back to the Whisper. Head back up some more and proceed south to get to the first Whisper near the Fire Pit where you met Lara and Reed. As you head east, the path will branch to the southwest. Follow it and climb the vines to some enemies. Follow the path made by wooden planks to get to a chest guarded by another Risen. Cross the fallen tree to the southeast to reach a beautiful garden of sorts, and then keep going to the northeast for another chest.

Drop down to the northeast to get back on the previous path. Follow it to the east this time and up to an opening. At this point, you can head back to a Whisper or a Fire Pit to prepare yourself. When you're ready, head through the opening to watch a cutscene.

Defeat the Boss: Warrick the Torn

As this is your first Boss of the game, it won't be as difficult as the rest and he'll have a limited moveset. He will often just charge at you and swing his blade down, which you'll have more than enough time once you see it coming. He can also come at you while spinning his blade around him, which you'll have to dodge at the perfect time to avoid. The rest of his attacks can be devastating but will all have a window of opportunity to dodge and counterattack. Just be sure that his combo chain is finished before you try to deal some damage back. Like most Souls-like Bosses, be patient and get some hits in when you can, and you'll eventually beat the Torn beast.

After you defeat him, proceed forward to the bridge for a scene. The bridge will be lowered as the townspeople see the beast fall. Winnick and Ellsworth will come greet you, with some understandable hostility at first from the former. For the most part, you'll be welcomed by the Governor as he recognizes you as a Cerim. They'll open their gates to allow you to enter.

He'll bid you head to the Rookery to speak to The Watcher. At this point, you're free to explore Sacrament and speak to all the NPCs. You can even enter the door behind Winnick and Ellsworth to get to Caroline and start, and complete, the Side Quest, The Innkeeper's Husband. To complete this Main Quest, however, you want to get to the Rookery. From where Ellsworth and Winnick are standing, head down the stairs to their left. Head down the stairs to the right afterward and then head up the stairs past Mira and Meri to find the city's Whisper. Head up the stairs directly north of the Whisper, but make sure to speak to Elsa first nearby.

When you reach the town square, keep going directly north and head up the long staircase there, marked by a lamppost. At the top, head east and then climb another staircase up. When you reach the next area, head to the southwest and cross the bridge to finally make it to the Rookery. Inside, Roan will greet you and a cutscene will ensue. The Madrigal will arrive, claiming that they've come to cleanse the island of the Pestilence. They've killed any Risen they've found along the way, save for Odessa, the one that led the attack on your ship, who is also apparently Ellsworth's own daughter. Roan will bid you rest on a temporary bed. When you wake up the next morning, the quest will be complete.

Servant of God

  1. Find Madrigal Seline
  2. Find a Way to Open the Ancient Gate
  3. Defeat the Boss: The Riven Twins
  4. Examine the Statue

After you wake up, head northeast of the Rookery in Sacrament, you'll find Speaker Lucian along with other Inquisitors waiting for you. They'll deliver a message from Madrigal Seline that she thinks you'll be of use to their mission of cleansing Isola Sacra and she waits for you at the Nameless Pass. To get there, simply head east from where you speak with Speaker Lucian and exit out of Sacrament.

Outside, you'll find a Whisper in a room immediately to the north. Across it is a Fire Pit on the other side that you can use if needed. When you proceed east you'll immediately find an enemy to beat. As you head east past the rocks, you'll find another one on some wooden platforms. You'll shortly find a door you can't open until you get the Old Cottage Key. If you head down you'll find an enemy guarding a chest. If you back and head up the stairs and hop through the wooden platforms, you'll get led to another chest guarded by an enemy wielding a large sledgehammer. You can climb the vines here to the top and then traverse them to the right. You'll drop east of where you started a while ago.

servant of god1 icon main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

Head up the slope and be ready for another enemy. Continue up another slope on your right and then head west for a tougher fight against two more enemies. Head east this time and circle around downward to reach the higher level where a larger enemy awaits. From here, there's a Fire Pit on the path to the east, cut off by a bridge you can only lower from the other side. Head back to the northwest and jump the gap to a stone pillar and then another gap to the next platform. You'll have to time it well as there's an enemy waiting for you there.

Follow the path and then loot the area as necessary. You should find some vines at the edge of this platform to the east that you can climb. At the top, proceed onward and kick the ladder down for a shortcut later on. Head down the stairs and then use the elevator to proceed forward. Before you head north, you can head south first to explore and loot but it will ultimately be a dead end.

servant of god2 icon main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

Move forward to shortly find a Whisper. You'll hear someone talking and you can find him in a cage a little further ahead. Malec will share what happened here when the Madrigal passed through. He'll also warn you of The Riven Twins who were the most dangerous of the prisoners that've escaped. Follow the rails down, making a U-turn to the left. There'll be a quick-footed Torn enemy here that you'll have to contend with. There'll be more of these jumping at you from above as you explore this area.

When you reach the waters, circle around to the north and then head up the short ladder. Follow the narrow path to the right to get to a chest. Head back a little to the broken rails and jump to the other side. Be careful of the fireball-throwing enemy here near a Fire Pit you can use if necessary. Jump the platforms past it to a chest.

Head back down and toward the short ladder from earlier but head to the west this time to a larger room with a chest. There's a fireball-throwing enemy further to the west. Head directly east of the chest and follow the rails. Another one of those jumpy Torn enemies will try and ambush you, supported by another fireball-thrower. Past them, you'll find a large closed gate with some dead bodies nearby. Head up the inclined wood to the south to get to a crane that's carrying a wooden platform. You can rotate this as needed to reach certain places.

servant of god4 icon main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

NOTE: There is currently a bug that isn't allowing players to rotate this all the way to the south which is necessary to move forward. To bypass this, players have found a way forward by instead utilizing the game's climbing mechanic. You'll need to head to the wooden poles beside the right banner in front of the large gate and try to climb it by heading up the ledge close by and then walking toward the pole until it looks like your character is floating right by it. This will then allow you to quickly press the jump button to climb the pole and eventually reach the higher area.

From here, head west and then pull the lever here to open the gate. The opening past it leads to a bridge that you can't lower from your side for now. Head all the way west to find a chest and then head down to find a Whisper. You can open the door to the south for a shortcut that leads to the central area. Head through the open gate now to the next section.

servant of god5 icon main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

Cross the bridge and head northwest. A large Torn enemy will break through some bars and come at you. Head through where it came from into an area with a lot of gates and another wheel mechanism. Rotate it counterclockwise once to open the gate to the east first and loot as necessary. Rotate it once more in the same direction to open the next gate to the northeast and be ready for a fight. Repeat the process for another fight with two enemies this time. Head through where they came from and you'll hear someone crying out for help. Move forward to the pocket in the north and climb up the east wall. You'll find Finley in a cage higher up.

Traverse the top of the wells to the west, but be careful of another fireball-shooter above you. Follow the path all the way west without dropping and you'll be able to climb up to deal with the annoyance. Follow the path to the south for a chest after a short staircase. Head back and climb the ladder up. Follow the path made by narrow wooden planks to the southwest. You'll find another chest at the end of it. Head down the ladder to the southeast and then you can head southwest to drop the bridge down to make a shortcut near the lever for the large gate in the previous area.

servant of god6 icon main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

Head back up the ladder and then head back north through the wooden planks. Stop halfway and then jump to the platforms to the southeast. Follow the path to the east and then look south. Jump to the floating cage and then jump to the platform to the east where an enemy is waiting for you. There's also another Fire Pit here for you to use if you need it, as well as a chest below it. You can kick down the ladder here for a shortcut.

Climb down and then head all the way back up to the narrow wooden planks. Cross them all the way again this time and then climb the vines to the north. At the top, you'll find a Fire Pit you can use. West of the Fire Pit, you can find a Whisper, which is timely 'cause if you fall from this height you will definitely die. Head back and southeast of the Fire Pit. Cross the archways for some loot. At the dead-end to the south, drop down while hugging the wall to safely get to the small ledge below. Drop down another level and then cross the narrow plank to the northwest to get to a dilapidated cage in the middle of the chamber. The item orb here will have the Quarry Guard Key for you to pick up. You can now head back to Finley's cage and use it to free him

servant of god7 icon main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

When you're ready, find your way back to the Whisper that you found at the top levels of the area. Follow the path down to finally meet with Madrigal Seline and Ellsworth, along with the Inquisitors and Guards from Sacrament. Approach them to enjoy a cutscene. It seems the Madrigal believes that you as a Cerim can help them open an ancient gate that has sealed off Caylen, the neighboring city.

When you're ready, head down past the great pyre and read the inscription under the gate. Head back now past the organized guards. Head west up the stairs that were previously blocked by Inquisitors. Follow the path all the way up and loot as necessary. You'll eventually find another Whisper before you enter the ruins.

servant of god8 icon main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

Before heading inside, head through the path to the left of the staircase first. Kick down the statue to cross the gap. Follow the path to the end and then jump all the way down to the waters below. Swim north to fight some enemies. Continue along the path to find a chest and a Journal you can read. Swim to the east again and climb up the platform. Follow the path to a chest guarded by a fireball-slinger. Climb the vines all the way up to two more fireball-throwers guarding a hidden chest east of the staircase. Head up the stairs to find a Fire Pit you can use.

Kick down the statue in the next room to make a bridge toward the Whisper right outside which you interacted with a while ago. Use it accordingly and then, when you're ready, head inside the next room.

Defeat the Boss: The Riven Twins

It seems the convicts chose this place of all places to hide in, and they've been afflicted by the Pestilence and turned Torn. This fight will be much tougher than Warrick the Torn. However, you should have a better grasp of all the game's combat mechanics by now, so you should be fine. This fight will be all about spacing and controlling the field. The Riven Twins will have a lot of attacks that will limit where you can go and where you can dodge. Use your dodge frames to dodge their attacks perfectly and close the gap to deal some damage of your own. A lot of their attacks will hit a large portion of the battlefield, if not the whole battlefield, so be patient and really be aware of your surroundings. He will mainly use his large pole to hit you, which has an extensive range. He'll also throw some balls of Pestilence at you and make small blisters of Pestilence erupt from the ground in an attempt to further limit your ground. Again, be patient. Know when to keep your distance and when to close in. The attack that will deal you the most damage of all will be one where they grab you with their left hand and pound you onto the ground. This can be a bit hard to see compared to all their other attacks so if you're too focused on everything else, they can catch you off guard. Keep in mind this subtle but devastating attack and you should be fine.

After you defeat them, head through the small opening to the north. Head up the stairs and examine the statue. You'll hear a voice that says that the gate is supposed to be kept closed when the world cries out, but open when the world is in chorus. Apparently, this means that it will remain closed until the Pestilence is around. Head back out toward the Whisper to find the Madrigal waiting there. She'll be disappointed at your inability to open the gate. However, she is determined more than ever to open the gate and cleanse the rot in the Caylen. This completes the quest.

servant of god10 icon main quests world information no rest for the wicked wiki guide

Use the Whisper to head back to Sacrament and then take the stairs up to the town square. Ellsworth will end the quest and the game with a speech expressing the resilience of Sacrament in these uncertain and trying times that are enveloping Isola Sacra.
