The Potion Seller is a Side Quest in No Rest for the Wicked. The Potion Seller begins with the simple task of retrieving a rare flower called Iona's Bloom, however, the quest becomes more challenging as the player gets affected by the flower. The environment will change and new platforms will be revealed to the Cerim.

An alchemist named Markos has asked us to retrieve a rare flower called Iona's Bloom.

How to Unlock The Potion Seller Quest in No Rest for the Wicked

This quest can be unlocked by speaking to Markos inside Iona's Cavern. The entrance to the cave is located in the eastern area of Mariner's Keep found right under the bridge. This area is accessible by crossing the bridge, dropping down the ladder, and walking directly to the entrance.

Retrieve Iona's Bloom

When you enter Iona's Cavern, you will hear a man talking to a "little beetle". Continue walking the path and then you will find Markos here who will give you the quest. You can find him under a tent with a small fire next to it. After picking up the quest, continue exploring the cave by following the path leading to the eastern area.

This will lead you to a rocky cliff further. Jump down the nearest ledge and stay on this path. You will be able to see some glowing flowers on the ground and 2 light torches here. This is your indication that you're on the right path. Follow this path to reveal a ladder ahead of you, but before going up, jump across the ledge to unlock a chest and reveal its contents. NOTE: Loot from Chests is randomized in No Rest for the Wicked.

Now, return to the ladder and climb up ahead. You will fight enemies in this area. The fight is a little difficult because of the small ground but you can have them follow you to the lower area to make the fight more manageable. Continue the path here and eliminate the remaining enemy. Then, cross the ledge by grabbing onto the roots to climb the higher area of the cave. (You will find a chest below you but it's inaccessible right now). Follow the narrow path to your right and you will see the light of a Whisper reaching. This indicates that a checkpoint is nearby. After defeating the enemy make sure to go to the Whisper to activate it. From here, you can already see your objective, which is the glowing flower in the distance.

Walk towards the glowing flower you can see ion the distance and the trail leading to the rare flower gets more visible. Follow it until you reach it's location. Upon touching the flower, the Cerim's vision will be dulled and the environment will change. Your goal now is to return to Markos.

Return to Markos

Your next objective is to return to Markos while still under the effect of Iona's Bloom. The effect is removed upon death which means you have to be careful on your way back. Otherwise, you will have to start over by touching the flower again. To head back to Markos, first return to the Whisper nearby. The flower will reveal green platforms that weren't there previously that will let you reach areas that used to be inaccessible. You can now find a chest to your left while walking on the way back.

If you want to reach the treasure mentioned earlier, you may do so by following the green platforms revealed right below the chest that was just opened. Then, you will find another root to grab onto at the end of the path. Climb it and jump to the right side by pressing the Y button. A ranged enemy is throwing a fire attack at this section but you can just run away from it. Continue walking to the left path and at the end, you will see a broken platform that requires you to jump and grab onto the root. Climb up this area and fight 2 enemies here. The area is pretty wide so there's ample space for you to move around.

After the fight, you will see floating stones in the center but there are connecting bridges to it. Be careful and jump on top of them to reach the next section where you can open the chest and fight the fire-casting enemy. There's another green ethereal path that you can follow here after that area, where more enemies await you. You will find an ethereal ladder leading up to more fights but don't worry, you are very near Markos right now. You can fight these enemies or just run from them. The path to the left here reveals a shortcut that can only be accessed with the effect of Iona's Bloom. Stay on the path until you reach an area with spilled blood on the ground, then a short cutscene will play.

The objective will be updated after reaching this location. Follow the blood trail here that leads inside the toppled stones. Jump down into the waterfall and swim to the ground. Then, kick down the ladder at the end of the path and use it to reach Markos. The end of the conversation here will mark The Potion Seller as completed.

No Rest for the Wicked The Potion Seller Quest Progression

We met a strange alchemist named Markos. He asked us to retrieve a rare flower called Iona's Bloom from inside a cave in the Orban Glades.
We found Iona's Bloom, but as soon as we touched it... something is... the words unravel. A new path reveals... we must climb higher.
We failed to make it back to Markos. We must attempt to reach Iona's Bloom again.
It was impossible to retrieve Iona's Bloom: the flower tore the phrases and transformed the cave around us. We should return to Markos.
Markos revealed that his request was a test to determine if we are truly Cerim. Now he says he will return to Sacrament and make his potions available for sale there.
