Servant of God is a Quest in No Rest for the Wicked. This quest will have you go through the Nameless Pass at Madrigal Seline's request. She seems convinced that a way to fight the Pestilence and cleanse Isola Sacra can be found just past the closed gate in the Cerim ruins deep in the northeast areas of the island. They've deemed it God's will that you had washed ashore safely from the Risen attack to successfully make it to Sacrament, as they need your blood and knowledge as a Cerim to move forward.

We have been summoned by Madrigal Selie. We must travel through the Nameless Pass, northeast of Sacrament, to meet with her if we can.

How to Unlock Servant of God Quest in No Rest for the Wicked

This quest is unlocked after completing the quest, Sacrament (Quest), and then heading northeast from the Rookery in Sacrament to speak to Speaker Lucian.  See Servant of God on the [No Rest for the Wicked Map].

No Rest for the Wicked Servant of God Quest Notes & Tips

  • Notes and Helpful Tips for this quest can be indicated here.
  • There is currently a bug that isn't allowing players to rotate the crane in the Nameless Pass all the way to the south which is necessary to move forward. To bypass this, players have found a way forward by instead utilizing the game's climbing mechanic. You'll need to head to the wooden poles beside the right banner in front of the large gate in the central area. Head up the ledge close by and then walk toward the pole until it looks like your character is floating right by it. This will then allow you to quickly press the jump button to climb the pole and eventually reach the higher area.

No Rest for the Wicked Servant of God Quest Walkthrough

Find Madrigal Seline in the Nameless Pass

When you head northeast of the Rookery in Sacrament, you'll find Speaker Lucian along with other Inquisitors waiting for you. They'll deliver a message from Madrigal Seline that she thinks you'll be of use to their mission of cleansing Isola Sacra and she waits for you at the Nameless Pass. To get there, simply head east from where you speak with Speaker Lucian and exit out of Sacrament. The guard there won't allow you out unless the Madrigal asks for you specifically, so good thing she has.

Outside, you'll find a Whisper in a room immediately to the north. Across it is a Fire Pit on the other side that you can use if needed. When you proceed east you'll immediately find an enemy to beat. As you head east past the rocks, you'll find another one on some wooden platforms. You'll shortly find a door you can't open until you get the Old Cottage Key. If you head down you'll find an enemy guarding a chest. If you back and head up the stairs and hop through the wooden platforms, you'll get led to another chest guarded by an enemy wielding a large sledgehammer. You can climb the vines here to the top and then traverse them to the right. You'll drop east of where you started a while ago.

Head up the slope and be ready for another enemy. Continue up another slope on your right and then head west for a tougher fight against two more enemies. Head east this time and circle around downward to reach the higher level where a larger enemy awaits. From here, there's a Fire Pit to the east, cut off by a bridge you can only lower from the other side. Head back to the northwest and jump the gap to a stone pillar and then another gap to the next platform. You'll have to time it well as there's an enemy waiting for you there.

Follow the path and then loot the area as necessary. You should find some vines at the edge of this platform to the east that you can climb. At the top, proceed onward and kick the ladder down for a shortcut later on. Head down the stairs and then use the elevator to proceed forward. Before you head north, head south first to explore and loot but it will ultimately be a dead end.

Move forward to shortly find a Whisper. You'll hear someone talking and you can find him in a cage a little further ahead. Malec will share what happened here when the Madrigal passed through. He'll also warn you of The Riven Twins who were the most dangerous of the prisoners that've escaped. Follow the rails down, making a U-turn to the left. There'll be a quick-footed Torn enemy here that you'll have to contend with. There'll be more of these jumping at you from above as you explore this area.

When you reach the waters, circle around to the north and then head up the short ladder. Follow the narrow path to the right to get to a chest. Head back a little to the broken rails and jump to the other side. Be careful of the fireball-throwing enemy here near a Fire Pit you can use if necessary. Jump the platforms past it to a chest.

Head back and jump to the other side of the broken rails and this time climb the vines up to a higher level to the right. Follow the path down to find a crane that's carrying a wooden platform. Rotate it to the southwest and then jump to the platform to reach the roofing on the other side.

Head back down and toward the short ladder but head to the west this time to a larger room with a chest. There's a fireball-throwing enemy further to the west. Head east of the chest and follow the rails. Another one of those jumpy Torn enemies will try and ambush you, supported by another fireball-thrower. Past them, you'll find a large closed gate with some dead bodies nearby. Head up the inclined wood to the south to get to a crane that's carrying a wooden platform. You can rotate this as needed to reach certain places.

NOTE: There is currently a bug that isn't allowing players to rotate this all the way to the south which is necessary to move forward. To bypass this, players have found a way forward by instead utilizing the game's climbing mechanic. You'll need to head to the wooden poles beside the right banner in front of the large gate and try to climb it by heading up the ledge close by and then walking toward the pole until it looks like your character is floating right by it. This will then allow you to quickly press the jump button to climb the pole and eventually reach the higher area.

From here, head west and then pull the lever here to open the gate. The opening past it leads to a bridge that you can't lower from your side for now. Head all the way west to find a chest and then head down to find a Whisper. You can open the door to the south for a shortcut that leads to the central area. Head through the open gate now to the next section.

Cross the bridge and head northwest. A large Torn enemy will break through some bars and come at you. Head through where it came from into an area with a lot of gates and another wheel mechanism. Rotate it counterclockwise once to open the gate to the east first and loot as necessary. Rotate it once more in the same direction to open the next gate to the northeast and be ready for a fight. Repeat the process for another fight with two enemies this time. Head through where they came from and you'll hear someone crying out for help. Move forward to the pocket in the north and climb up the east wall. You'll find Finley in a cage higher up.

Traverse the top of the wells to the west, but be careful of another fireball-shooter above you. Follow the path all the way west without dropping and you'll be able to climb up to deal with the annoyance. Follow the path to the south for a chest after a short staircase. Head back and climb the ladder up. Follow the path made by narrow wooden planks to the southwest. You'll find another chest at the end of it. Head down the ladder to the southeast and then you can head southwest to drop the bridge down to make a shortcut near the lever for the large gate in the previous area.

Head back up the ladder and then head back north through the wooden planks. Stop halfway and then jump to the platforms to the southeast. Follow the path to the east and then look south. Jump to the floating cage and then jump to the platform to the east where an enemy is waiting for you. There's also another Fire Pit here for you to use if you need it, as well as a chest below it. You can kick down the ladder here for a shortcut.

Climb down and then head all the way back up to the narrow wooden planks. Cross them all the way again this time and then climb the vines to the north. At the top, you'll find a Fire Pit you can use. West of the Fire Pit, you can find a Whisper, which is timely 'cause if you fall from this height you will definitely die. Head back and southeast of the Fire Pit. Cross the archways for some loot. At the dead-end to the south, drop down while hugging the wall to safely get to the small ledge below. Drop down another level and then cross the narrow plank to the northwest to get to a dilapidated cage in the middle of the chamber. The item orb here will have the Quarry Guard Key for you to pick up. You can now head back to Finley's cage and use it to free him

When you're ready, find your way back to the Whisper that you found at the top levels of the area. Follow the path down to finally meet with Madrigal Seline and Ellsworth, along with the Inquisitors and Guards from Sacrament. Approach them to enjoy a cutscene. It seems the Madrigal believes that you as a Cerim can help them open an ancient gate that has sealed off Caylen, the neighboring city.

Find a Way to Open the Ancient Gate

When you're ready, head down past the great pyre and read the inscription under the gate. Head back now past the organized guards. Head west up the stairs that were previously blocked by Inquisitors. Follow the path all the way up and loot as necessary. You'll eventually find another Whisper before you enter the ruins.

Before heading inside, head through the path to the left of the staircase first. Kick down the statue to cross the gap. Follow the path to the end and then jump all the way down to the waters below. Swim north to fight some enemies. Continue along the path to find a chest and a Journal you can read. Swim to the east again and climb up the platform. Follow the path to a chest guarded by a fireball-slinger. Climb the vines all the way up to two more fireball-throwers guarding a hidden chest east of the staircase. Head up the stairs to find a Fire Pit you can use.

Kick down the statue in the next room to make a bridge toward the Whisper right outside which you interacted with a while ago. Use it accordingly and then, when you're ready, head inside the next room.

Defeat the Boss: The Riven Twins

It seems the convicts chose this place of all places to hide in, and they've been afflicted by the Pestilence and turned Torn. This fight will be much tougher than Warrick the Torn. However, you should have a better grasp of all the game's combat mechanics by now, so you should be fine. This fight will be all about spacing and controlling the field. The Riven Twins will have a lot of attacks that will limit where you can go and where you can dodge. Use your dodge frames to dodge their attacks perfectly and close the gap to deal some damage of your own. A lot of their attacks will hit a large portion of the battlefield, if not the whole battlefield, so be patient and really be aware of your surroundings. He will mainly use his large pole to hit you, which has an extensive range. He'll also throw some balls of Pestilence at you and make small blisters of Pestilence erupt from the ground in an attempt to further limit your ground. Again, be patient. Know when to keep your distance and when to close in. The attack that will deal you the most damage of all will be one where they grab you with their left hand and pound you onto the ground. This can be a bit hard to see compared to all their other attacks so if you're too focused on everything else, they can catch you off guard. Keep in mind this subtle but devastating attack and you should be fine.

Examine the Statue

After you defeat them, head through the small opening to the north. Head up the stairs and examine the statue. You'll hear a voice that says that the gate is supposed to be kept closed when the world cries out, but open when the world is in chorus. Apparently, this means that it will remain closed until the Pestilence is around. Head back out toward the Whisper to find the Madrigal waiting there. She'll be disappointed at your inability to open the gate. However, she is determined more than ever to open the gate and cleanse the rot in the Caylen. This completes the quest.

Use the Whisper to head back to Sacrament and then take the stairs up to the town square. Ellsworth will end the quest and the game with a speech expressing the resilience of Sacrament in these uncertain and trying times that are enveloping Isola Sacra.
